Musicians for Film - Recording & Sideline Musicians

Recording Musicians
Recording Musicians possess a special set of skills and each project requires someone who can determine what type of musicianship is required to get that job done. Deb Wagner is the in-house contractor for the UCLA Film Scoring Extension Program ans has hired musicians for Jingles, TV Shows, and Movies.

Deb has an understanding of the whole "recording process" -- from hard disk recording to editing, adding live instruments to MIDI files, MIDI files to Finale, mixing, mastering, to burning CD's. She is a computer geek who has an extensive knowledge of the Macintosh computer, music hardware and software.

Sideline Musicians
Have you ever watched a film and noticed musicians in the background playing? Well, in most cases they are actually "miming" or just pretending to play. Since the soundtrack and scoring of the film are done at the end of the project, the musicians pretend to play along with "temp tracks" or temporary music for a scene. Of course the style of music and band are determined through "casting" the right players and look for the time period of the movie. Deb has experience on set as a leader, contractor and sideman and has sidelined, herself, in movies, TV Shows and commercials.
